Co-Founder, Chief Energizing Officer (CEO)

“I love putting the “woohoo” in wellness!”

Co-founder and CEO (Chief Energizing Officer) of Sonic Boom Wellness, Danna Van Noy (Korn) is a published author, motivational speaker, and renowned expert in the wellness industry. Known worldwide as the “Gluten-Free Guru,” she is the author of six bestselling books on the subject of nutrition, including four in the prestigious “For Dummies” series. Respected as one of the leading authorities on the gluten-free lifestyle and the medical conditions that benefit from it, she has been featured in People Magazine, on ABC’s “20-20,” and dozens of other national media outlets.

Since 2007, though, her primary focus has been on Sonic Boom, which she and Bryan Van Noy started that year. They shared a passion for helping people adopt healthier lifestyles, but were frustrated by the lackluster results most corporate wellness programs were getting.  They realized the key to generating genuine, sustained engagement is to create programs people love and WANT to take part in.

Having started and run several successful companies before, Danna and Bryan decided it was time to blaze a trail and boldly go where no one had gone before: the gamification of wellness. Sonic Boom’s energized approach is stimulating and enticing, driving massive engagement centered around social connection, competition, camaraderie, teamwork, accountability, and validation of behavioral change. With its foundation in behavioral economics and motivational psychology, the program also incorporates clinical outcomes, integration with targeted resources, and sophisticated incentive management.

When they’re not “Booming,” Danna and Bryan enjoy thrill-seeking adventures including racing cars, extreme skiing, flying, and pretty much anything that provides an adrenaline-endorphin rush.
