Dr. Sarah Matyko Joins Sonic Boom
Customer success is the top priority for us here at Sonic Boom. If we can’t support our clients in improving the health and wellbeing of their members, we can’t to deliver on our mission. We hope that every client has experienced the passion that our Client Success Team has in building strategic and thoughtful wellness programs tailored to each organization. Additionally, we love hearing when those programs drive positive engagement, and ultimately, positive health outcomes.
To build upon our strong team in place today, we’re excited to formally introduce Dr. Sarah Matyko as the new VP of Client Success. Sarah has been a Boomer for two months, and she’s excited to continue to fine-tune our targeted engagement strategies. She’s joining from a current Sonic Boom partner, giving her the unique ability to see the program through the client “lens” and understand the specific needs as a HR/benefits professional. Given her in-depth knowledge, Sarah is in the strongest position to build upon our existing strategic foundation.
Prior to Sarah’s time as a client admin, she led the U.S. Navy’s population health program. This was a $25 million initiative designed to optimize population health strategies through integration of healthcare delivery, proactive data analysis, and clinical wellness services for 400,000 beneficiaries. Sarah received her bachelor’s degree in exercise physiology from West Virginia University (where she rowed on the crew team) with a minor in gerontology. She also holds a master’s and doctorate degree from the University of Southern California (USC), with a specialization in Lifestyle Redesign® and behavioral science. Additionally, Sarah has been an American Council on Exercise (ACE) and an American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) certified personal trainer since 1999. What’s more? She’s also a certified diabetes educator and occupational therapist!
In her more than 15 years of healthcare experience, Sarah has focused her time on developing, implementing, and evaluating large-scale and complex population health, wellness, and health promotion programs and initiatives. During her time as a Sonic Boom customer, Sarah leveraged our platform to drive optimal health outcomes for their population. Tactics included connecting employees to engage them in their health journeys, resulting in a happier, more productive workforce; using data to strengthen relationships among employees and managers to improve job satisfaction and retention; and using the tools and resources available through our platform to drive lasting behavior change.
